The 2018 Dancing With Prospect Stars was a success, raising over $100,000 for 11 different charities! Thank you to all of our dancers, charities, volunteers, and sponsors. Your support of this event benefited one or more of the different charities and the Prospect Area Chamber of Commerce. The chamber uses these resources to give back to the community by promoting member businesses and community events.We'll see you on February 17 for our 2019 event!
Each Star is dancing to raise funds and awareness for a local charity of their choice. The charities work alongside the Stars to help in their fund raising efforts and every penny donated to each charity is kept by the charity.

Timmy is dancing for Surgery on Sunday Louisville, a nonprofit in Louisville whose mission is to provide quality surgical care to all. Surgery on Sunday Louisville’s patients never receives a bill. Since their founding, Surgery on Sunday Louisville has provided life-saving procedures such as colonoscopies and life-changing surgeries such as cataract repairs to over 350 patients. Timmy is deeply passionate about the organization because he lost a close friend to colon cancer, the most preventable cancer.
Ruth’s first grandson, Dash, was diagnosed with autism before he was two years old. Watching him become non-verbal, along with exhibiting other behaviors, personality changes, etc., was heartbreaking and life-changing for the whole family. Autism affects so many people on different levels, and everyone needs as many resources as possible to help navigate their journey. Because of her family’s experience, Ruth has chosen FEAT (Families for Effective Autism Treatment) as her charity.
Calinda is dancing for Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Louisville- Derby City Chapter. Sleep in Heavenly Peace was started in Idaho 4 years ago and is committed to doing all they can to make sure that all children have a safe place to lay their head. Because too many children in our city go without a bed- or even a pillow and many sleep on couches, blankets or floors, which can affect their happiness and even their health – Calinda is dancing to provide resources to assist teams to build beds for these children.
